💠Anas ibn Mālik (رضي الله عنه):

كان المسلمون إذا دخل شعبان انكبّوا على المصاحف، فقرؤوها، وأخرجوا زكاة أموالهم تقويةً للضعيف والمسكين على صيام رمضان.

🔰"When Sha'bān began, the Muslims would devote themselves to the Muṣḥaf and recite it, and they would give out the Zakāh of their wealth to strengthen the weak and the needy for fasting in Ramaḍān."

[Laṭā'if al-Ma'ārif | 1/135]
🔰Fasting all or most of Sha'baan

💢One of the tradition We have a lot, is that we prepare for Ramadan at the last minute, and this is a complete deviation from the path of the Sahabah and the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) , because they were aware and alert to the upcoming month of ‘Ibādah and preparing themselves from well before, they had an increase in their worship, were conscious to know what was upcoming and required of them they used to start preparation like fasting even from the month of shaa'ban:

💠From Usamah Bin Zayd (Rady'Allahu Anhu) that he said:

💢“I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) , I do not see you fasting in any month more than in Sha’baan.’ He said, ‘That is a month concerning which many people are heedless, between Rajab and Ramadaan. It is the month is which people’s deeds are taken up to the Lord of the Worlds, and I would like my deeds to be taken up whilst I am fasting.’”

[Hasan. Reported by Ahmad (5/201)]

🔰Muslim (1156) narrated that Abu Salamah (Rady'Allahu Anha) said: “I asked ‘A’ishah (Rady'Allahu Anha) about the fasting of the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam), and she said:

💠‘He used to fast until we thought that he would always fast, then he would not fast until we thought that he would always not fast, but I never saw him fast in any month more than he fasted in Sha’baan. He used to fast all of Sha’baan, and he used to fast all of Sha’baan apart from a few days.’”

🔰Ahmad (26022), Abu Dawud (2336), al-Nasaa’i (2175) and Ibn Maajah (1648) narrated that Umm Salamah (Rady'Allahu Anha) said:

💢“I never saw the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) fast two consecutive months apart from the fact that he used to join Sha’baan and Ramadaan.”

💠Al-Haafiz hajar Asqalani said: The Hadith of ‘A’ishah (Rady'Allahu Anha) explains what was said in the Hadith of Umm Salamah, which says that he did fast any month of the year in full apart from Sha’baan which he used to join to Ramadaan; this means that he used to fast most of it.

💢Al-Tirmidhi narrated that Ibn al-Mubaarak said: It is possible in the language of the Arabs, if a person fasts most of a month, to say that he fasted the whole month…

💥Healing the Soul:

♨️Sins leave scars on the soul, leading to a loss of blessings, decreased provision, anxiety, depression, and an overall sense of emptiness. A heart weighed down by sin cannot find true peace.

🔰The only cure for a soul burdened by wrongdoing is Istighfar (seeking forgiveness) and Tawbah (sincere repentance). These are not new concepts nor reserved for a select few--all the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) practiced them throughout their lives. Even they were not exempt from seeking Allah's mercy.

💠When Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) made a mistake, he turned to Allah with sincere repentance, and Allah forgave him. He and his wife supplicated:

"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers."

[Surah Al-A'raf 7:23]

💥No matter how many mistakes we make, the door to Allah's forgiveness is always open. Istighfar and Tawbah bring healing, mercy, and renewal to the heart.
💠Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) talked about Friday and said,

💥"There is an hour (opportune time) on Friday and if a Muslim gets it while praying and asks something from Allah, then Allah will definitely meet his demand."

🔰And he (the Prophetﷺ) pointed out the shortness of that time with his hands.

💥Whenever the month of Shaban would begin, Habeeb ibn Abi Thaabit رحمه الله used to say,

📖"This is the month of the reciters of the Quran"

[Al Lataaif al Ma'arif Pg. 258-259]
💢Are deeds presented to Allah in Sha`ban?

The Sunnah also indicates that the good deeds of each year are taken up to Allah all at once in the month of Sha`ban .

💠An-Nasa’i [1257] narrated that Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting as much in any month as you fast in Sha`ban . He (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said: “That is a month concerning which the people are heedless, between Rajab and Ramadan, but it is a month in which good deeds are taken up to the Lord of the Worlds, and I would like my deeds to be taken up when I am fasting.” [Classed as sound by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Jami`]

🔰These texts may be summed up by noting that people’s deeds are shown to Allah in three ways:

1️⃣ Daily, which happens twice a day
2️⃣Weekly, which also happens twice, on Mondays and Thursdays
3️⃣Annually, which happens once, during the month of Sha`ban

💠Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “The deeds of the year are taken up in Sha`ban, as the truthful one (the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) has told us.

💥The deeds of the week are shown on Monday and Thursday, the deeds of the day are taken up at the end of the day before night comes, and the deeds of the night are taken up at the end of the night, before day comes. When a person’s life comes to an end, all his life’s deeds are taken up and the record of his deeds is closed.” [Hashiyat Sunan Abu Dawud]

💢The Hadiths which indicate that deeds are shown to Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) indicate that it is encouraged to do more deeds of obedience at the times when the deeds are being shown to Him, as the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said concerning fasting in Sha`ban: “I would like my deeds to be taken up when I am fasting.”

💠In Sunan At-Tirmidhi (747) it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) said:

💥“Deeds are shown (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I would like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” [Classed as authentic by Al-Albani in Irwa’ Al-Ghalil (949]

🔰One of the Tabi`in (the generation after the Companions) used to weep in front of his wife on Thursdays and she would weep in front of him, and he would say: Today our deeds are being shown to Allah, may He be Glorified and Exalted. [This was mentioned by Ibn Rajab in Lata’if Al-Ma`arif]
💥Ibn Abbās (Rady'Allahu anhu) said:

🔥There are nearly 700 major sins; none of them is major if repentance is made, and none of them is minor if they are continued.

[Tafsīr al-Ṭabarī 8/245]

‼️We should not only seek forgiveness for the sins we have committed but also for any shortcomings in fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to us by Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala).
🍃Criterion Between Allies Of The Merciful And The Devil.
💥Shaykh-ul-Islam Imam Ibn Taymiyyah (Rahimahu'Allah)
💢Chapter 1

💢All praise is to Allah. We seek His aid, ask Him for guidance, and ask His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil which is in ourselves, and the wicked of our actions. Whoever Allah guides none can send astray, and whoever Allah sends astray, none can guide.

☝️We testify that there is no deity except Allah, alone and with no partner. And, we testify that Muhammad is His slave and messenger. He sent him with the guidance and the way of truth so that He (i.e., Allah) might make it predominate over all other ways, and Allah is sufficient as a witness. He sent him preceding the Hour (qiyama), as a bringer of good tidings, a warner, and a caller to Allah by His permission, and as a beacon light.

🔰He (Allah subhanahu wa taala) guided with it those who had been lost, and gave sight to those who had been blind, gave uprightness and order to those who had been following unbridled impulse, He opened unseeing eyes, deaf ears, and sealed hearts. With it, He established the criterion for distinguishing truth from falsehood, guidance from going astray, uprightness from following of whims, the believers from the disbelievers, the joyous people of paradise and the miserable people of the fire, and the allies of Allah from His enemies.

🍃Whoever the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) has attested to as being among the allies of Allah, are the awliya (friends or allies) of the Merciful, and whoever the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) has described as being among the enemies of Allah, are indeed among the enemies of Allah, and are among the awliya of the shaytan (devil).

💠Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has explained in His Book, and in the Sunnah of His Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) that He has awliya among the people and that shaytan also has his awliya, and He has differentiated between these two types of awliya. Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) said:

🔰”Indeed, there is no fear upon the awliya of Allah, nor shall they grieve, those who believe and are ever pious in their actions. To them are glad tidings in this life and in the hereafter. There is no changing the words of Allah. That, then, is the great success.” [Yunus 10/62-64]

💠”Allah is the protector (ally) of those who believe, He takes them out of the darknesses into the light. As for the disbelievers, their allies are the Taghout who take them out of the light and into the darknesses. Those are the people of the fire, and they will be in it forever.” [al-Baqarah 2/257]

🚫”O, you who believe, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are allies of each other. Whoever among you puts his allegiance with them, is certainly one of them. Allah does not guide a people who oppress. And so, you see those in whose heart is sickness rushing to (make alliances with) them, saying: We fear being caught in some unfortunate turn of events. Perhaps Allah will bring victory, or something from Him, such that they come to regret that which they hid within themselves. And the believers (will) say: Are these the ones who swore their strongest oaths that they were with you? Their works have been invalidated, and they have ended up in complete loss. O, you who believe, whosoever among you turns back from his way (Islam) Allah will surely bring another people whom He loves and who love Him. (They will be) humble and merciful with the believers, strong and firm with the disbelievers; they fight in the path of Allah, and do not fear the blame of those who blame. This is the grace of Allah, and He gives it to whom He wishes, and Allah is encompassing, knowing of all things. Verily, your (true) ally is Allah, His Prophet, and those who believe; those who establish the prayer, pay the zakaat, and bow in prayer. Whoever puts his allegiance with Allah, His Prophet, and those who believe, the party of Allah are surely the victorious ones.” [al-Ma’idah 5/51-56]
🍃Criterion Between Allies Of The Merciful And The Devil.
💥Shaykh-ul-Islam Imam Ibn Taymiyyah (Rahimahu'Allah)
💢Chapter 1 | Part : 2

💠”Thereupon the only true alliance is with Allah, the Truth, that is the best in reward, and the best in final results.” [al-Kahf 18/44]

🔥The allies of the devil have also been mentioned in the Qur'an:

♨️”And so, when you read the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from the accursed shaytan. He has no power over those who believe and depend on their Lord. His power is only over those who give their allegiance to him and who (succumb to his urgings and) associate (partners) with Allah.” [an-Nahl 16/98-100]

🔰”Those who believe fight in the path of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the path of Taghout, so fight the allies of shaytan, verily, the plot of Shaytan is weak (when confronted with true faith).” [an-Nisa 4/76]

💢”And when we said to the angels: Bow down to Adam! They bowed down all except for Iblis. He was one of the jinn, and he rebelled against the order of his Lord. And so, do you then take him and his descendants as allies instead of me, though they are your avowed enemies? What an evil substitute for the oppressors!” [al-Kahf 18/50]

🔥”And whoever takes the devil as an ally instead of Allah, has brought about a very clear loss.” [an-Nisa 4/119]

♨️”Those to whom the people said: The people are gathering against you, so fear them, were only increased (by that) in faith, and they said: Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best of guardians. So, they returned with bounty from Allah and His grace. No harm touched them. They sought only Allah's pleasure, and Allah's grace is great. That is only shaytan, he gives his allies the ability to strike fear into your hearts, so do not fear them, and fear me if you truly are believers.” [Al-i Imran 3/173-175]

💢”We have made the devils allies of those who do not believe; those who commit outrages and then say: We found our predecessors on this (tradition) ... Surely, they have taken the devils as allies instead of Allah, and they think that they are on the guidance.” [al-A’raf 7/27-28, and 30]

🔰”And, verily, the devils pass suggestions to their allies, so that they might dispute with you.” [al-Anam 6/121]

💠Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) narrates the statement of the prophet Ibrahim (alaihe wa sallam):

🔥”O, my father, I fear that you may be touched by a punishment from the Merciful, and be an ally of the devil.” [Maryam 19/45]

‼️”O, you who believe, do not take my enemy and your enemy as allies toward whom you (secretly) cast your love.” [al-Mumtahinah 60/1]

🍃“Our Lord, do not make us a temptation for the rejecters of faith, and forgive us, you are the mighty, the wise.” [al-Mumtahinah 60/5]
